Eau Gallie Arts District (EGAD)

create | PRESERVE | REVITALIZE | BE YOU...IN FULL COLOR.

WHAT WE DO...

..we are a catalyst for the revitalization of  historic downtown of Eau Gallie.  We work to preserve and enhance all the resources that make us EGAD.  Without the natural, historical and cultural assets that make us stand out, we’d be like any other city.  Whether we’re working with developers or public officials, our work aligns with this common theme for the greater good of the entire community.

CONGRATULATIONS to REAL ESTATE DIRECT for their recent renovation of the historic Ginter Building located at 1540 Highland Avenue. Originally built in 1926 by local builder, Clifford Ginter, the building was used for many things, from a store, a boarding house, a rescue mission, a store, Eau Gallie’s first nursery school and much more. There was a railroad cut behind the building connecting Flagler’s railroad to the Indian River lagoon. Now housing Real Estate Direct and allaprima styling group, the original decorative cartouche, or ornamental relief, with a tropical scene was restored by the owners, Frank and Melanie Schrader. Learn more about the history of this building and 11 other historic properties in Eau Gallie by downloading the app FLORIDA STORIES. This renovation embodies what “main street” is all about — preservation of our assets and promotion of our diverse downtown.
