Eau Gallie Arts District (EGAD) is a vibrant, creative community that boasts a rich history, an eclectic mix of art galleries, restaurants and shops, and a growing list of activities for visitors and residents to enjoy. The creative community is a vital element in building and sustaining unique and diverse places. By cultural organizations, working artists and creative businesses working together, the arts district contributes to the local economy by providing jobs, supporting other local businesses, and local revenue. Eau Gallie is an authentic historic Florida city, but it’s also a thriving commercial core and cultural hub; a place where generations have lived, worked and built the historic fabric of our downtown. EGAD Main Street is an affiliated member of the National Main Street Program, an initiative originated by the National Trust for Historic Preservation that focuses on the revitalization of historic downtown to enhance the appearance and economic stability of the commercial district, and to improve community pride and quality of life for residents and visitors. EGAD Main Street uses arts as a catalyst towards our goal of renewal—from crafting coffee, beer, or food to architectural, hair and flower design—we are the epicenter of authenticity on the Space Coast. EGAD has won 13 state awards for a variety of main street initiatives — design, promotions, economic vitality and membership.
